Math Achievement to Realize Individual eXcellence
Meet the Matrix Participants!

Denise Milam, M.A.T.R.I.X. Project Director

Denise Milam    I have been a computer technology teacher in the Monroe Township Public Schools since 1999.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University, Camden, and my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Richard Stockton University. The first computer that I worked on was a Radio Shack Model III, with a floppy disk drive and 48k of memory… now the computer that I am working on has over 1 gig of memory….  Computer technology has changed the world in my lifetime!

Working with the many partners in the MATRIX grant has taught me a lot about how teachers and students use computer technology in a learning environment. I am trying use all of our experiences to increase student achievement and motivation to be life-long learners.

Our teachers have worked hard over the past three years, learning about electronic portfolios, math trails, gps, webquests, interactive whiteboards, graphing calculators, handhelds, laptops and now ipods for education.
